- “Urban Cactus” This piece has been in work for a couple years now. It’s foundation is poplar and it has some awesome spikes I found from a metal shop in Seattle. The glass has been difficult to obtain, as finding matching colors and textures for the arms has been a struggle. The architecture of the arms took a huge amount of design revisions and they finally received a coat of paint last fall. I hope to have the glass completed by the summer and look forward to showing it; hopefully in a sunny venue as the glass is amazing in natural light.

- “Anarchist Figure” This painting is still unfinished and has demanded a high quantity of attention. It’s difficult to complete emotionally driven pieces for me because I tend to shift moods a bit and timing is everything! I feel like the negative weight of this piece has been lightened by a new sense of freedom and independence. I will continue this piece until it tells me to stop, and may have to rename it if it desires.

- “Untitled Drawing” Like all my drawings, they all tend to ignite from a single thought, and morph into a chaotic and swirling combination of ideas. They are all relatively unified and I always enjoy sharing the stories of the imagery. This piece has been in the mix for a few years now and is finally getting the finishing touches it deserves.

- “Ringed Portal” I’ve been working on the wood and stained glass in these 33 rings for a couple years now. I have an idea of how I want to have them shown and hope to have a kinetic incorporation by this summer. The glass acts like a projective rainbow in the sun, and casts colorful shadows! I hope to continue using vibrant glass in a new series of work I’ve begun based on the “ring” form. The concept is “traveling without moving” by using the notion of portals or segmented tunnels to gain a sense of omnipotence.
